I know. It’s disgusting, isn’t it?
But not in this case! It’s lovely!

Sandy aka Hazibabes – Goa, January 2016
Regular readers will know that while on holiday in Goa, India at the New Year, we ‘adopted’ Sandy (aka Hazibabes) for two weeks. She’d sit under our sun beds and we’d feed her naan bread and chicken while we ate our meals at the Starfish beach shack. She especially loved the ‘secret recipe’ curry sauce produced by the chef from Kerala.
At the time, we thought she was pregnant. There were ‘signs’ although she wasn’t showing too much in the way of bulk.
This evening, though, I received a message to say that Sandy is now the proud mother of SIX little pups! (She gave birth to seven, but with a litter that size in the conditions in which she lives, it’s hardly surprising that one sadly didn’t make it.)
Hopefully they’ll all make it through the oncoming monsoon season, when the shack will will be taken down and the tourists, on the whole, will disappear for a few months. And how many she allows to remain on her defined patch by the time we visit again next January, remains to be seen.
Meantime, I’m hoping to be sent some photos of the litter sometime soon and if so, will post them here as soon as.

Even Sandy found something amusing in ‘Damp Dogs & Rabbit Wee.’

All’s well that ends well.
